FaceBook's Java App Now Offers Indian Language Support

Indian users who access Facebook on their mobile phones and wish that they could communicate in their mother-tongue on the social network are in luck. The web service will soon be available in eight different Indian languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Punjabi, Bengali, and Marathi, apart from Malay and Vietnamese versions. Facebook for Every Phone is a Java-based app that is said to be compatible with over 3600 phones on 2G and EDGE networks. It will be rolled out completely in the next few weeks.
